Ambassadors Committee meets Monthly, the First TUESDAY at 11:00 am
Ambassadors Committee
Chair: Tony Vittorio

The Ambassadors Committee is a group of Chamber members who help our new members acclimate to the Chamber and familiarize them with all the benefits of membership. Included in the duties of the Ambassadors is making sure our veteran members are not forgotten and that we continue to meet the needs of their businesses as well as those of the new members.

Listen, Thank, Honor & Promote.

Ambassador Club Mission: To serve as highly visible good-will ambassadors that enthusiastically recruit and retain chamber members.

2010 GOAL: Retain membership through personal visits to 90% of current members.

Ambassador Commitments:
? Assist chamber staff as a greeter and/or with the prize drawings at the Business after Hours functions. E-mail reminders will be sent requesting ambassador assistance for each event. Ambassadors will be introduced at events & will hold a “ribbon cutting” at the annual meeting.
? Participate in scheduled ½ day membership blitzes scheduled for May and June, 2010, with complimentary lunch following each Blitz for recap and discussion.
? Those members who do not have a “storefront/business address” or need appointments will be listed separately.
? Host a meeting at the Chamber for businesses without a storefront or are located out of the area (allowing them the opportunity of a personal visit with the Ambassadors).
? Follow up mailing for those that didn’t receive a personal visit which includes a “care package of Chamber information” and a request for feedback comment card.
? Those members not visited in the scheduled blitzes will be assigned to teams, and visits are to be completed through the duration of the summer, on unscheduled days.
? Plan and host a “Chamber Basics” class – ambassadors plan and present membership value, perks and information to new and current membership scheduled for fall of 2010.
? Plan a “NEW” member blitz – recruit chamber members - one scheduled outing.
? Create and utilize a points system to nominate Ambassador of the year for 2010.
Ongoing commitments:
? I will remain a member in good standing with the Cloquet Area Chamber of Commerce.
? I will attend the monthly Ambassador Club meetings, scheduled for the first Thursday of every month at 11 am, at the chamber office.
? Recruit new ambassador committee members from diverse industries.
? I will commit to personally attend, participate or volunteer at a minimum of three Chamber functions per year. (Annual Banquet, Chamber Expo, Annual Golf Outing, Business Enhancement Luncheons, Leadership Training, etc.)
