Committee Opportunities
Ambassadors: Quarterly - Every 3rd Thursday at 11:30 am
Public relations, goodwill visits, new member welcome visits, membership blitz, upping the follow up, Membership hour, Business After Hours, Assist staff at various Chamber programs and events, recognition for local firms or organizations. Develop and maintain a task force that supplies ongoing leads, tips, and referrals of area businesses that would prosper from Chamber membership, Engage the Chamber board and the Ambassadors to enthusiastically provide membership referrals, Welcome new and existing members; help them realize the benefits of their membership
Business Enhancement & Retention: Every 3rd Wednesday at 8:30 am
Monthly business luncheons, small business needs, business before hours, Munger trail connection, focuses on identifying the needs of the small business owner in the Cloquet Area, and providing possible solutions that are mutually beneficial, identify issues and trends related to doing business in the Cloquet area as it relates to the development of public policy, helping to position members for success
Manufacturing Support: Every 1st Thursday at 11 am
Address common industry issues and concerns for the benefit of area manufacturing. Collaborate with area Education entities to develop a plan that addresses the workforce development issues related to available positions in our area and focuses on educating our youth for the future.
Legislative Affairs: Every 3rd Monday at Noon
Candidate forum, business day at the capital, legislative session conference calls, ad hoc local/area issues, session priorities and legislative dinner, monitors activities in state and local government to safeguard business interests, support the local military organizations and work to protect the financial and social impact they have on our community, support the volunteer led efforts to ensure employers’ interests are appreciated by elected officials
Tourism: Every 2nd Tuesday st 10:30 am
Brochures, marketing, promotion, new collaboration with major entities that bring in people, shop local campaign, foster and promote the positive aspects of living, working, and playing in the Cloquet Area.
Annual
Annual Meeting: event scheduled in February of each year coordination, decoration, activities planning, meals
Golf Outing: event scheduled on second Monday June
